Hi friends, I received help from your skills before.
This time I bother you, because I have a
Vaio VPCEH2D0E, Bios R0180z9
Intel i7-2820QM
W11 pro for workstations
And I leave you a par questions:
The modded BIOS you uploaded here, would work also in my model?
Flashing the 200z9 or 210z9 version would the UEFI be enabled?
I found the recovery partition for W7 and could perform a refresh on legacy mode, but for W8~W10 to use the recovery system it seems to need a GPT partition. On the BIOS 180z9 there are no options to switch between legacy/uefi.
If possible, I'd like to try the 210z9 unlocked BIOS.
Thanks again for your help, if any of the mods wanna earn some bucks I'll be glad to hear which further modifications are to be performed on my bios and how much could I donate for it.
I used the tools and rom provided and it all worked flawlessly, first the computer had all the menues visible but the the sata devices weren't recognized. While booting from an external disk, another inconsistency was that only 4 cores of the i7-2820QM were recognized, HT was somehow disabled.
After changing graphics aperture size to a lower value, the sata devices were recognizable again but the windows installation wasn't booting, the message was "boot source is inaccesible". I'll try a fresh installation of windows and will try a GPT partition under UEFI.
I'd like to try the modded bios 210z9 still, is it needed any special workaround on the BIOS to make a eGPU work correctly on this model?
The modded BIOS worked, the installed minipcie USB 3.0 module works, this far the computer is booting but with unpredicted results:
No Hyperthreading on i7-2820QM, graphics size over 256MB for Intel HD 3000 made SATA drives unrecognizable (believe it or not)

Is there any bios version for Vaio VPCEH40EB (PCG-71911X) unlocked with UEFI options?
I'm using R0210Z9.
Thx in advance!
Hi,
I have this same vaio model, i3 2350m
need to upgrade to i3 3110m but it won't boot
what bios file to flash?
Hello guys, I would like to add the option of disabling the discrete gpu in my VAIO VPCEH.
The current bios revision is R0180Z9. The machine is currently not running any OS, so I would ask what OS should i run so i can dump the bios? Fan Control is a plus also, if possible.
The machine is running a B950 Pentium and 12GB of DDR3 ram, I am currently waiting on a i7-2760QM.
Thank you in advance.

Volunteer at a UK charity. We've been donated an old Vaio laptop, the VPCEH series, with the R0200z9 bios. Although it was originally slow, an SSD made a world of difference- it is now running Win10 Pro and this week some kind person donated an I7 2620QM CPU! All going well, this will enable another mental health team to have decent field support.
Have worked with Vaios before (Z2, Z13, Duo 13s) and did unlock the bios of the Z13, using a guide offered by the Notebookreview forum (now gone) so am convinced that some bright sparks are likely to have a working access to an unlocked VPCEH series bios. I need to turn on ACHI mode and if possible have a more upto date ME engine within it. If anybody has managed to establish secure boot, that would be a bonus.
Problem is, am not a coder myself, but am capable of following instructions carefully. Does anybody have the tools and instructions to download to enable me to flash the bios without bricking the machine, and then access the settings?
Is secure boot an optoin in the mods for this BIOS and MBO today?
Thank you. Frankly any advice would be much appreciated.
Quick update. @Maxinator500 kindly sent me an unlocked version basesd upon R0210z9. Now looking for someone who had found the mechanism to update the TPM firmware and complete the missing section that enables UEFI.
