DFI X38 T2R intel option rom request
#1
Hi, new comer to the bios mod scene here. I've read your other thread helping a fellow out on his X48 so I'm not expecting any miracule +3 version upgrades here. To make a long story short, my RAIDs been acting up, and I've tried all sorts of things to no avail, so figured i'd give updated RAID bios a shot.

Current bios:
http://img.lanparty.tw/Upload/BIOS/CM/X38ADC24.zip
This has intel raid rom version v7.5.0.1017 as dumped by CBROM

if possible I'd like to upgrade to v7.6 if I had access to the appropriate RAID_OR.bin file myself. Otherwise, would you please be so kind as to mod the above bios for me. Thank you.
just a quick note - i managed to extract the v7.6 rom from the X48 request thread, released the V7.5 rom in my bios, and inserted the v7.6 rom.

however, from what I understand, while cbrom fixes the checksum of the system bios rom for me, but it does not fix the checksum of the rom that i inserted. apparently to fix the latter, i need to open in modbin6, make a trivial change (i changed the default bootup msg), and then save.

However, the rom saved by modbin62.04.03 becomes corrupt (crashes when tried to reopen with modbin6, and when opened with cbrom, I see all the ISA and PCI roms are gone).

just a quick reply here - the upgraded BIOS with V7.6 is CONFIRMED to be working on a DFI X38 T2R.

However, it did NOT fix my RAID problems. It took this long for me to reply back as it took this long to figure it out... turns out to be a faulty RAID cable. DOH DOH DOH.
