I just notice that the difference between the orginal BIOS and the fisrt update was "Improve VGA card compatibility", maybe you can undestand what is the problem.

Using award bios editor I extract all the component from bios versione 1, 1.12 and 1.20 and compared them to see the difference, if this could help.

Comparing version 1 and 1.12 (the one with improved vga compatibility) I noticed that:

6420r210.ROM
ACPITBL.BIN
B57PXE.ROM
boot_blk.bin
CPUCODE.BIN

are the same and

awardext.rom
awardeyt.rom
decomp_blk.bin
_EN_CODE.BIN

are different and two file misses: 100.bin was only on version 1 and 9617.bin only on version 1.12

than i compared version 1.12 and 1.20:

6420r210.ROM
B57PXE.ROM
CPUCODE.BIN

are identical while

awardext.rom
awardeyt.rom
decomp_blk.bin
_EN_CODE.BIN
ACPITBL.BIN
boot_blk.bin


are different; even in this case there are some missing files: 9614.bin and 116.bin.

Hi using AMI-Mod Tool I extracted the DSDT.ASL from the SK8V Bios.

On this card the HD3850 works so I think should work also the HD4670.

I attache the file.

Comparing the DSDT.dsl file from my BIOS and that posted here: Hacking the ACPI Table - An example I noticed that there are some part identical like LPT1 for example, but in my DSDT I didn't find a part about the AGP Device could it be the problem? If we insert this part could it solve?

Analyzing the BIOS of the two not working card with RBE from www.techpowerup.com I noticed that they have a boot mode, a powersaving mode and an UVD mode, could it be that the BIOS gave a wrong command and instead of booting up the card it put the card in a sort of sleep or suspend mode without the possibility to wake up?
Is always an ACPI information?

On the latest ACPI spec there is a part about video card.
