Missing HP G62 request thread

I'm trying to get another WLAN/BT combo MiniPCI adapter working in my HP G62-a05SG. Before requesting however, I did some research and found references to a request in this forum, which can no longer be accessed.

What's up with that?

Does it make sense to do a request for my model, or is there currently no way of modding that bios? The general method thread does seem to note that newer models are not yet moddable.

Sorry!

When we tidied up the Wifi section , any threads which had been abandoned , had untested mods or mods that bricked users machines were deleted. Those that worked and were confirmed were renamed and moved to the relvant section

Post the DEV VEN and SUBSYS ID's for both your old and new card and we will try and replace the old ID's with those from the new card.

Thank you for your reply. I will do that, but it might take a day until I find the time.

Edit: Okay I found some. Took quite a bit longer than expected, no chance getting the Data in the G62, had to use another one.

Sorry but this is a really strange bios and wont open in any of my tools! (its also an odd size , 4.44MB????)

Too bad, I was afraid of something like that. Did you try the older Version (2010-07-08 , Version:F.0B A, 4.5M)? Maybe it's different.
