#1
Helloo people
I am new here and I found this awesome thread
What I really need is ask if its possible to update
Intel Matrix Storage Manager Option ROM ?
I have Sony Vaio AW series and I have version v8.0.0.1039
and i need obviously newer version ?
Can I do it and HOW ?
tHNk yUUU

My point is that i want achieve QUAD SSD RAID 0 (same as Vaio Z Series !!)
In my setup the Utility wont let me setup 4x SSDs I can select only 2x SSDs for RAID 0

Link or attach the latest BIOS for your machine.

Feel free to use/link/host any BIOS I post, no credit necessary. However, this is at your own risk and I take no responsibility. Always keep a backup of a known-good BIOS. Don't flash a motherboard if you don't have a backup computer just in case.

Always use RAID mode. RAIDFix

You have to be more patient than that. I have no idea what format this is supposed to be in. Get me a .rom or .bin or whatever. I'm not even going to run an EXE file, and extracting it didn't come up with anything useful. I don't know what vendor of BIOS your computer has but use a Windows flashing utility from that vendor and back up your current BIOS. Flash to the newest one first if you don't have it. Vendors would be like Award, AMI, etc.

(Edit: Or if you want to run the file, it may make a temporary directory with the files... I just don't run random EXE files that I find linked on forums.)

Hex edit it and see "Copyright 1996-1999, all rights reserved

Insyde Software Corp."

Either way, I have no idea. Sorry. I think UEFI is supposed to use something more akin to drivers than traditional Option ROMs. But I have no experience with UEFI.

Edit: I do not see "AMI" in that BIOS in any sort of identification string and MMTool does not open it, unless I need a newer MMTool.
