Identifiant de la carte mère 11/19/2007-PT890-8237A-6A7L8FKEC-00

Hi,

My mother Board is : 11/19/2007-PT890-8237A-6A7L8FKEC-00
it's From a Packard Bell X9648 but the new download center of PB is only for new computer and i searched everywhere for an update of my bios but there are no update.
The motherboard the most similar is P4M8907MB-2.0-RS2H i downloaded his bios update from here http://www.foxconnchannel.com/support/downloads.aspx but i cant update it from windows.
how do I do to to flash my bios?

Thanks Sorry for my very very bad english im fench ^^,

What is it you're looking for? Overclocking? RAID/AHCI? The board you linked seems to have a different chipset... PT890 and P4M890 are not the same.

Feel free to use/link/host any BIOS I post, no credit necessary. However, this is at your own risk and I take no responsibility. Always keep a backup of a known-good BIOS. Don't flash a motherboard if you don't have a backup computer just in case.

Always use RAID mode. RAIDFix

I did a research and I found nearly nothing... All the world tells me it is an Packard Bell iMedia X9648 except Packard Bell themselve! They want to know something like "PT.U11-PV.U11" wich I can't get anywhere on the web. I found a manual in french wich was more like a joke telling me that this PC is very fine and nearly the best till it is not working anymore. And if it stops working it can only be Windows Vista making the problems because the user is too dumb to work with it the right way! This makes me upset and angry once again...
The most informational site was this: http://www.01net.com/fiche-produit/avis-...ia-x-9648/ ... Attention, it is french, too!

Maybe you can help, sniper, giving us the right Packard-Bell-number or having a look on the "carte mère" telling us what is written there...
And by the way, I truely believe your english is much better comme ma francaise... Wink

Sometimes you just have to try to be sure it is not working...

Hello,

On my motherboard there is a label or writing there PT8907MB-2.0-8RS2H but just above there are burn P4M8907MB that is why I think Packard Bell has change the name of the motherboard so that we can not flash the bios by keeping up to date. (I want to overclock my Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600)
thank you for your answers.

There seems to be a retail Foxconn motherboard named P4M9007MB-8RS2H which looks quite similar.

If you wanted to take the big risk , you could try flashing the bios for the P4M9007MB-8RS2H over the OEM Packard Bell one , but of course you would do this at your own risk!

It's not. His has a Via PT890 and the one you mentioned would have P4M900. They are different chipsets.

Oh, okay, maybe one's northbridge and one's southbridge or something.

Could you please post a screenshot of CPU-z or Everest/AIDA64 showing the motherboard chipset tab? Somehow I'm pretty sure PT890 and P4M900 are different chipsets and you won't like the result of an unsuccessful crossflash.
