hi i love my thinkpad t500, ive allready modified it quite a bit (installed a 1920x1200 screen, blu-ray burner added the internal bluetooth etc) i've also done a 2.1 marker update and used tools to do SLIC mods on at least a dozen different desktops/laptops however this is out of my range.
i have my radeon 3650 in my t500 clocked at 675/927 instead of 600 700 and its fully stable and doesn't get too hot. however as far as i can tell the VGA bios is built in to the main bios so i can't flash custom clocks. so far i have been getting around this by using AMD GPU clock tool and some shortcuts for when it comes out of sleep and stuff, but what i would really like to do is burn the custom clocks into the main bios for hassle free operation.
along with this if its possible (probably much harder) is to either lock the cooling fan on at max at all times or change the fan thermal profile to be more aggressive. however Thinkpad fan control does quite a good job at a software level so im not as worried about that.
current bios can be found here.
i am currently using the 6FET87WW (newest as of this post) bios on my specific system.
UPDATE: used phoenixtool 1.68 to dump the bios and found oprom00.rom from the bios file $01b300.FL1 it loads in RBE and is the video bios in my laptop! i can correctly change the clocks i wish too just need to know how to recompress it digging that info up right now. if this works (it should) it should provide a fairly easy way to update the GPU clocks on many phoenix bios laptops
UPDATE 2: just cant repack the [censored] thing could use a hand have the original OPROM00.ROM and the modified one along with a dcompressed bios in a rar file i uploaded posting the link

UPDATE 3: flashed modded bios and ended up with a bad GPU bios flash ( no video but system booted) rolled back with a blind flash.
thanks!
