[Project] SHE and AHCI BIOS mod for ASUS EeePC 1000H
#21
First, apologize for my English, because I use the google translator.

Thank you very much for changing the bios, it will be very useful for my daily use of 1000H.

Also, to comment that I hope the 2204GTX amendment to increase even more the speed of my netbook.

A greeting.

And Nice Work Tol Phobos Smile

Thank you boss ! Cool

I've just finished my work on GTX version, and i'm now able to reach 2Ghz frequency with SHE. When Antinomy will have finished his work on RAM setting, we will release 2204GTX-01 !

Stay tuned Big Grin

Thanks a lot for the bios, I like it a lot that there are people working on improving the 1000h. The GTS version works fine on my netbook, except I now have one problem. Most of the times, my netbook cannot return from standby mode. I need to push the powerbutton for a couple of secs to restart. If that's all, I don't mind, but it can be something for you guys to look at.

Are you using AHCI, SHE or both ?
What is your OS ?
Are you speaking about standby mode, or deep sleep ?
When it occurs, are you power linked or on battery ?
In which mode is configured SHE ? (Auto, Power, High or Super)
Thanks for your feedback : it helps us to improve our mod .

EDIT : I confirm some unstability with 2204GTS-01 during return from standby AND deep sleep when the 1000H is on battery and SHE configured to Auto. Sometimes, it crashes. It seems that the FSB/CPU value is too low on Power mode, and I will release this weekend a 2204GTS-02 with a stabilized one.

So it's a SHE mod related bug? Then I'll add mod to your existing GTS version while you handle with the SHE itself and then you can fix it because you modify the ACPI table - what I do not touch.
I've replaced the useless CPU configuration menu with Memory configuration - memory frequency and timings.

I have just released the 2204GTS-02 version. I have made several tests with no unstabilities ... don't hesitate to give me your feedback about this new release.

Regarding the pre-GTX, the Memory menu and all the options are visible & accessible ... but with no effects on RAM multiplier or timings. Confused

You may have forgotten to link menu options to code functions ? Huh

Find attached pre-gtx_b file with Increased SHE mod.

I didn't link them, I've only unlocked the menus that were already present. I'll check, but to link options to code functions is what I'm not able to do. At least with my current skills.

Anyway it was worth a try.
Do the settings save when you set them and go in BIOS again?

Yes, this is working perfectly. But there is no change on real values ... I have verified with CPU-Z and HWiNFO32 :
- RAM ratio is always 1:2 (533Mhz)
- CL/tRCD/tRP/tRAS are always SPD (4/4/4/12)

Do the best of your possibilities, it is not an emergency. With increased SHE and AHCI my personal objective is reached Blush.

The RAM settings are nice to have, but they are not indispensable.
