Thanks for this. I have downloaded and saved it for when I have some time to mess with it ( I am a Moderator at PCWorld.com and keep pretty busy ). My biggest gripe was the fact that I installed 1600 Mhz memory, and the stuff ran at 1066 Mhz. According to CPUZ, my multiplier is 21. I do know that I will have to set the QPI to 6.4 ( It is 4.8 or something right now ) in order to get the memory speed up. I saw the before and after screen shots of the Packard Bell BiOS in another thread. The before. looked like the same BiOS and I suspect it was. Acer, Gateway, Packard Bell, and eMachines are all under the same umbrella. The first three all had an "FX" x58 based machine that looked identical except for the branding and with the same specs. Again, thanks. Not sure if this thing has a back up default BiOS that can be reset if this doesn't go well. I am not an OCer, but would like my memory to run at the speed it is supposed to. As for the CPU speed, I'll just get a faster CPU.
UPDATE: I have been unable to run this. Saved it to desktop and then Expanded the files to another folder. Clicked on that folder, and couldn't open the .ROM files. I was only interested in raising the QPI to 6.4 so I could get my 1600 MHz ram running at that speed instead of 1066 Mhz. Need to get the memory thing from 4 to 6 in order to do that.

I noticed in the screen shots in the Packard Bell thread, that the Turbo Boost was enabled. If you are going to be OCing the CPU, I believe that has to be disabled.

I came across this site by accident and was pleasantly surprised to find that the TBGM-01 had been unlocked. I saw the screen shots from the Packard Bell BiOS and I believe it is the same Motherboard and BiOS. I was unable to get either one to open. I downloaded and save to my desktop and then expanded the files to another folder. That was as far as I could get as they wouldn't open in the expanded folder ( something to do with being .ROM files ). I have been able to get the BiOS upgrades from Gateway though with no problem. Anyway, this a s great site, and will recommend it when the subject of unlocked BiOSes comes up. As for me, I purchased an EVGA Micro X58 Motherboard some time ago for the unlocked BiOS ( Phoenix Award ). Guess I'll be changing it out when time allows. I triied both the TBGM-01 BiOS as well as the Packard Bell BiOS, which I believe are the same, and neither would open from the expanded folder. This what I see on the one page:

Hi coastie65,
In order to "flash" your BIOS you need a utility that will take the new BIOS image and flash it to your motherboard. This tutorial should help you flash the modified image. Please use the AMI instructions to do so.

Thanks and welcome,
