You can read? I hope so! Try to search next time before posting, OK?
There are several very similar boards and I have tested as a champion and now not anyone is able to read what I've written though. It is exactly the same as with the -AM wich is what I'm using, there is a physical limitation to <89W TDP. I now tested some 5200+ with TDP from 72W up to 125W. You can see when there is a limit of 89W there are not so many possibilities. Normally the 5600+ may work when there is a version below 89W. If you go over it may even blow some capacitors! I had to replace 3 after testing phenom II X4 975 black edition!!! BUT (!) I did all this testing with a modded BIOS and I flashed it several times, even on other boards! You can always recover from a bad flash but never from a bad solution!
Sometimes you just have to try to be sure it is not working...
I am back in here as I promised! So tell me your needs!

i have Compaq Presario SG3502LA with mb MCP61PM-HM (Iris8), y want upgrade the sempron processor by one athlon x2 4600+, unfortunately after change processor the pc launch me a message "error: the processor is not supported...."
i guess the problem is my current bios, the question would be that if I change the bios have support for this athlon x2 4600+ ???
another question. with the instruction "awdflash xxxxxx.BIN /py /sn /cc / cd /cp /wb /r" is enable the function for backup current bios?? because i see in other forums, that the backup option is "awdflash xxxxxx.bin /sy"
i will have a backup if something go wrong...
excelente por la banda de BIOS-mod!!!
