Via PT890-8237A request
#1
Hello

I have a request, i need to Flash my motherboard but i don't know how.

My motherboard is: Foxconn PT 890-8237A
(its the same computer on this topic :
http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Fo...?pid=21011)

I don't found any bios update actually on packardbell website.
I want to have acces to overcloacking option's (unlock FSB and/or more) to OC my q6600.

I have something to ask :
Can someone explain me, step by step, how can i flash my motherboard ?
(i have read some tuto but im from france and i don't have an perfect english masteries. I don't want to make something wrong.)

Bonjour!
Does the tutorial on the bottom of this page help you?

http://www.bios-mods.com/biosupdate.html

That will explain the flashing procedure and then use the iamge downloaded from the thread to flash.

Re, and thx TheWiz for this tuto.

I have take the original file ( with extension .p11) and rename it "bios.bin"
(why put something like 10 files in the archive files, if just only one is needed ? ^^)

I have format with HP tools , add awdflash.files + "bios.bin" (the files with extension .p11, once renamed).
boot on my usb device, type : awdflash__bios.bin__/py_/sn_/f_/cc_/r
(1_ = 1space)

So .. verdict ?: I have succesfully update my bios ... ^^

Thx for you'r help.
Sombre

'I have take the original file ( with extension .p11) and rename it "bios.bin"'
where did you get the original file?

Thanks

addtional:
Ok i think i've spotted the problem, i use the link in the other thread and packard bell seem to have move or removed the file, does anyone still have the orginal?
