Packard Bell EasyNote SB87
#1
Hi peeps,

My laptop is an EasyNote SB87. The bios is very basic, and i would like to access the other menu's as well if that is possible.

The main ones are the advanced options and also the Graphic Card (Nvidia 8300GM GT) options if that is possible.

The laptop gets very very hot and i would like to underclock it (or change the fan speed)

The bios file can be downloaded here:
http://www.mediafire.com/?6kvinuo6vt6t2f4

I hope you people can help me out with this!

Thank you very much!

If you have any questions, please PM me.

Here is the laptop info:

Once again, thank you very very much!

A few advanced options were able to be unlocked including Intel Virtualization Smile See the screenshot below:

Flash this modded bios at your own risk!

Thats just to start with , theres stacks more of hidden stuff , im still working on getting it all unlocked , stay tuned for mod v2 and beyond Smile

Your BIOS will be far from basic by the time we're done. Ive found options for CPU Control , ACPI Control , ICH SATA/PATA Control , Core Multi-Processing , Intel Virtualization , Frequency Ratio (So you can adfjust your CPU multipler to allow overclocking) and lots and lots of other exciting stuff!

UPDATE: Because i couldn't sleep , V2 is live , check the screenshots Big Grin

Best of luck if you choose to flash (which im sure your going to although remember you flash at your own risk!)

Sorry if my English and noob question bore You.

I have a PackarBell SB87 with the exact same BIOS PB3G3A08
My Notebook has 2 HDDs and I’m unable to setup them in RAID 0 mode.
Flashed my notebook with your mod BIOS PB3G3A08 (link of your post # 2 this page).
Working fine.
Your posted pictures shows: ADVANCED / SATA-Device 31, function 2: / SATA RAID Enable [disabled].
My case: SATA RAID Enable is not present. After Port 2 Hot plug appears Disable Vacant Ports.
Maybe I’m doing something wrong or I don't know how to.
Can help?

Thank you very much.

oh well im not sure about that issue but im glad the other options are available to you.

Perhaps theres a hardware limitation which makes RAID not possible therefore the BIOS doesn't show the option? Just a guess!

Hello, I also have a Packard Bell SB87, same bios than his but my laptop has a T9500 processor and 8600M GT instead.

I tried the bios posted here and I see a lot of menus more than with the default BIOS.

The problem is i can't access these "Integrated device control" or 'CPU control' submenues when I press enter on them.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.
