1. Reboot does not work. When you reboot from any OS (linux, win7, xp), it hangs at the point where it issues the reset signal.
2. Fast boot does not work (bios logo/self check shown at every boot).
If you can bring these back it will be a perfect mod!
Using GT too.
1. Yes, that happens to me. It does reset... takes ages. I have resigned myself to just electing to shutdown and rebooting manually. It's easy enough.
2. Fast Boot seems to be missing yes. This one does not bother me at all as I never had it turned on anyway.
Another 2 bugs I discovered was:
I first tried the GTX mod. I installed Win7 onto the 60gb G-Skill Pheonix Pro SandForce SSD. I thought I would have ACHI on when I did this as the drivers are meant to install automatically. A reboot and the screen pointer had vanished! It was still there, just invisible. I was not a bad install as it happened again. So the next time I installed with compatibility on and changed over to ACHI using
regedit following the Microsoft instructions.
So far so good. So I tried Super Performance Mode and CPU-Z showed a negative hit instead of a boost. I tried a reboot and my new SSD drive had disappeared. According to the BIOS it was just not there! Open up the case... the bugger was really hot. I thought it was fried. However, after about half an hour it was ok. Phew.
I changed to the GT BIOS and things couldn't seem better.
Nevermind the overclocking did not work, I'm very happy to have ACHI and TRIM going. Well, supposedly it is, I don't get as good Crystal Mark results as you Tol. I hope I did it right (I didn't understand what IE8 had to do with it). If I did it correctly then I am a bit disappointed as I was led to believe the drive was better than that regardless of just being on Sata150.
