HP Disabled Whitelist Mega Thread!

Hi to everyone,
I have the Pavilion DV6-6030el and i need to use a different WIFI card, such as intel 5100 o broadcom...i need to set up my home network to 300N.
Can you help me to remove whitelist from my laptop so i can use other wireless card?

I have an HP DV7-1270 CA with an Intel WiFi Link 5100AGN WLAN adaptor. I would like to replace it with an Intel Centrino 62230ANHMW.

Can you please supply a modified bios so that I can do this. Will removing the whitelist allow me to add any WLAN card or just the Intel Centrino I mention here.

and tell me if it worked or not to rename or delete it accordingly.

He managed to extract his rom with hptools, another thing is flash back modified one.

If you extract your cleaned rom i can have a look.

Try this to extract your bios.

Quake, i could open your backup rom file, tell me please the PCI device ID of the card that is currently installed and working on your system, i need it to look for the whitelist.

Don't know exactly the way to flash it back, maybe using patched HPQflash. Good luck. I added patched HPQFlash and Cabpack to my folder, i think it's easy to use, just compress the modded rom file using cabpack with MSZIP compression type and name the cabinet ROM.CAB, put together with the patched HPQFlash and pray

Thanks a lot for your help....just one question, if i have some problem how i can repair the bios? just put a original bios on usb device, plug on pc, start up and press win+B...or what i have to do?
