Asus P5K-Deluxe for 3TB drives

I have an Asus P5k-Deluxe board and (hopefully) would like to use my 3TB drives in RAID0 as a non boot drive. Currently the drives only show up as 740GB each.

Southbridge: ICH9R
Raid OROM: 8.7.0.1007
Intel RST: 10.6.0.1002

Is this possible with an update or will I need a add-on raid controller or new motherboard?

Link the BIOS... we can try giving you 10.6 but it may not work.

Two for you to try. One has the latest Matrix RAID OROM 10.6.0.1091 (try this first), and the other has 10.5.1.1070 in case 10.6 doesn't work. Both also have JMB363 upgraded to 1.07.28.

Untested. Please report back if they work for you (if 10.6 works then I don't care if 10.5.1 works). If neither work then a new motherboard may be in your future.

Edit: removed 10.5.1 from post since 10.6.0 is reported working.

OROM 10.6.0.1091 works perfectly! 2x3TB drives in RAID0 now work for me.

Thank you for this BIOS.

1. Intel Raid Option ROM 10.6.0.1091 update works with my Asus P5k Deluxe Board,
but using only AHCI Mode.

2. The J-Micron BIOS v1.07.28 has some Problems with RAID and AHCI Modi.
Wait-Time for Detecting ~2 min and no drive found

Only with the IDE Controller Mode starts Bios normal.
I'm happy, then its the first times that i can used my WD MyBook Studio over eSATA.



Now my Problem with 2. PC a ASUS P5K64 WS. BIOS Version 0801

1. Intel ICH9R controller OROM 7.5.0.1017
2. Marvell 88SE61XX RAID-Adapter BIOS Version 1.2.0.28.

It is possible to make a new Update for my P5K64 WS with a working eSATA Bios?

I've tried p5k-deluxe-1005-imr10.6.0-jm1.07.28.rom but I am not able to create a RAID1 array with 2x3TB hdd.

Someone of you have never made a RAID1 array with 2x3TB hdd?

Do you know if is possible to use an EFI bios instead of the standard bios of P5K Deluxe?

I have a question: Ii it possible to use your modded Bios file for a P5K Premium? I know Cross-flashing is a dangerous thing, but I searched this forum and other forums and did not find a modded bios with updated Raid Oroms for my board.

Anyone tried this before?
