[Recovery HOPE]HP Touchsmart TM2 2010eg unlock hidden menus
#11
Do this exactly.

Download the original flasher from HP, open it with winrar or 7zip.

Now format a USB Stick Fat32, let's assume the letter of the stick is S: create on root of S: this folder tree, respect case.

S:\HEWLETT-PACKARD\BIOS\Current

Take 01486.fd file from the original flasher and drop it into "Current" folder, then rename to 01486.bin

Disconnect power from the PC, plug the stick into a USB port, press Win+B keys and while pressing the keys connect power source to PC and power it on. It must read from the USB Stick and flash the original bios again. Wait for it to finish and reboot.

Please remember to come back and leave feedback. I hate leech and disappear thing.

Nice day.

Yes it's possible. Always recommended is 2gb maximum.

Try to get a 1gb stick and try with it.
Try also pressing all four arrows instead win+b when powering on. Do it with ac power connected and with the battery removed.

I have now removed the HDD and the CMOS Battery for half minute and tryed but nothing.

Steps:

1.Removed CMOS
2.Removed HDD
3. Installed the this both: [Image: findem.jpg]
4. Put the Original Bios from HP into "Current"
5.Renamed from "01486.fd" to "01486.bin", and tried with the one from tabletpcreview--> BIOS from tabletpcreview.com
6. Put the Stick out and put it in the TM2
7.Pressed Win+B, and powered it on.
8.Wait 20~30 Seconds nothing.... only the Caps look LED blink no HDD because its removed.
9.Put Power cable out, because the fan is running on minimum, so the TM2 is running very fast HOT.

Please have you more ideas camiloml?Confused

Try pressing all four arrows (screen diplacement keys, up,down, left, and right in place of Win-B

Also the cmos battery must be removed without any power source to the pc, no ac cord and no battery pack. Cmos battery removed for a couple of minutes an pressing power on button to discharfe capacitors.

Then i would just put on the pendrive the original bios in the Current folder. And do the keypress, connect ac cord (no battery pack) and power on.

Sad what i make wrong...?

i tried to recover many times with other changes etc, all without HDD and CMOS.
But nothing has worked.

You mean only the Arrows keys right?Undecided

PS: I have tried with RAM out and in.

PSS: Maybe the restore name it not correct?^^
