HP Pavilion zv6005us / zv6000 unlock request

Hello,

I would like to request an unlock of this Phoenix BIOS for the HP zv6000:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp33501-34000/sp33698.exe

Question: That file linked above is a 'WinFlash' BIOS. I have Ubuntu Linux on the laptop that this BIOS goes to. Is it possible to use a DOS-based or Linux-based flashing tool with this type of BIOS?

I don`t knew about flashing in linux , but you can easily extract the BIOS.WPH file from the exe then use PHLASH16.EXE along with it to flash the bios .
Also , the bios hasn`t got any important options for unlocking , just few useless options like numlock .
