[REQUEST] HP Pavilion dv8-1100 series BIOS Unlock
#51
It's normal that the ahci option rom doesn't pop, it's got 8086:2929 PCI ID assigned. When i get home will try to mod that option rom and we will see if it pops on boot.

BIOS REPOSITORY.Please consider donating (me or forum) if you like my work.
Please remember to come back and leave feedback. I hate leech and disappear thing.

Nice day.
Camilo.

the main thing is that raid just does not work.. when set to raid mode in bios.. and using f9 to choose a boot drive, none of my drives are seen and cannot install windows 7 either..that is the main thing.. appreciate the help!

This should pop option rom when AHCI mode selected. Try it.

a suggestion.. before under full bios mod, every option was there.. now just choice between raid and achi.. how about adding the full choice for "IDE CONFIG" i saw before an option to allow port multi.. i think it might be possible that, and in that full option, there might be an option there to turn on raid rom or not.. i have that on my desktop.. something to perhaps consider and try.. thanks for all your help!

thANKS!! possibly, if you put the hardware ids in there, leave out all other options in the bios like that were originally put in there that was freezing up the IDE CONFIG option, it should not freeze up and possibly will allow me to mess with it.. i think its possible if you add the raid rom and achi rom to that, it just may work as the hidden options under "IDE CONFIGURATION" might allow for the roms to fire.

Ok, this is what i have made in this last attempt.

I unhide (by petition even i think it's uselsess) the Advanced menu.

I exchanged the Integrated Network Adapter Boot rom with the RAID rom with tweaked IDs for your hardware in RAID mode.

So, now you must go in setup to "System Configuration" -> "Boot options" and activate "Internal Network Adapter Boot" for the RAID rom to be called on boot, and in the Advanced menu, IDE section change mode to RAID. I think it's the best we can try, seeing all we tried before have failed. This is by far our best chance to get it working. I cannot think more ways to mod your bios for this. Smile

So download V3 mod here.

Pray for it to work this time Smile

ok got bios to update.. still same as before, no raid rom fire on network adapter boot.. i changed to ide (that does not freeze now) and now with ide option chosen, machine freezes on f10, so i cant get into bios. i know i can reset by removing battery, but is there another way i can reset. like reupdating bios from a pen drive?
