Hi! im popeye, from nottingham,
im new to this hobby (pc's)- as in, less than 6 month. But i hit the ground running and have a good basic working knowledge of what im doing within the confines of what i do. (softmodding consoles - dvd editing - repairs -android stuff - fresh installs)
The pc that started this interest at Christmas gone was a pent 4 that i quickly outgrew so i upgraded to an amd sempron and mcp61m-m3 mo bo and ddr3 ram bundle, it was recommended to me (by the vendor) as a core unlocking/over-clocking board with the sempron being the best chance of getting an unlock and if not they over-clock up as far as 3.7ghz
so i took this on board googled it and checked the ecs website
it seemed for me so i brought it built it and installed win 7
then i wanted to unlock and/or over-clock it so-
back to bios, no core unlock feature (there is an option marked unlock but does nothing and may be the wrong option), no acc, on voltage controls !?!
so i put it on the back burner and carried on with what i was doing
it came yesterday that i had to go into my bios to disable cool and quite, so whilst in there i tried looking for options again and found them! so then booted into windows for an oc guide back to the bios and options gone again!
googled more and apparently only cpus with unlocked multipliers will allow the options required to be displayed but i have seen them so they can be gotten to!
googled some more and ended up here looking for an unlocked bios found a similar model number and followed the link to find the file deleted!
so if some one could help me with this i would be thankful, i just need a push in the right direction plz.

but a chat and maybe a link to a guide will probably do it, i learn quick and am interested in doing this for a few reasons the joy of learning being prime
