ok tarisgby i figured it out, uninstall video drivers amd suite, install official hp drivers, than install latest amd driver over it, for me 12.1a, and that did it, fully functional and no issues. thanks guys.
Bios is great after i figured that out.

Anyone else experience this? I installed intel 6230 wireless /bluetooth card after the bios here, (tried them all here) however, bios boot up is slow.. takes a while to get to the HP bios screen, then stays on that for a little bit before loading windows. .upon entering the bios menu, it is slow as well. Windows speed is fine though. Just a little slower during bios boot up and interaction.
In windows, I have a USB Device not recognized message now.. Not sure what it is, I can unplug all usb devices, go to device manager, try to update, uninstall or disable and it still eventually comes up. This is all on camiloml's no whitelist bios.

hello all, i've installed the sp54724_NWL_740_880_VGA-OC_UlkMenus_ByCamiloml bios, yet i do not see any changes in the bios options, and its still displaying as f.2. Aren't i suposed to be seeing a bunch of extra options in re to the fan and toggling to the 6700M? And i've noticed some sugestions that i should make changes in the factory bios first then install the whitelist modded one...so what prog are you guys useing that allows you to flash the bioses? are you just running the installer packages over and over?

I installed an Intel 6230 wireless card as well, but it gives me the error message that this card is not compatible and cannot even boot into Windows. I am using the BIOS listed here: http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-Un...3#pid38993
I thought they all had whitelist removed?
edit: Someone else installed a Killer wireless-n card in their HP without a modded BIOS, did a clean install, and it installed without a problem. The error message I get that says an unauthorized card refers to the bluetooth not the wireless bgn. So wondering if the Bluetooth part is the culprit and not wi-fi? Wondering if I had a 6300 or other Wifi card without BT if it would work?

update successful. (don't forget to delete HP_TOOLS partition, or it will appear to work but fail to write firmware at reboot)
i did not solve my issue (running my dv6-6188ca under linux). i hoped i could disable the discrete gpu completely but i can only chose iGPU as primary, which makes no difference from the kernel's POV.
thanks anyway for the mod.

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp54501-55000/sp54724.exe
so I conclude it will work. I will try it right now.

Pray
Will this version of the F21 bios work on a dv6 6188CA (A8 3510mx and Radeon dual core 6755G2) ?
