Hello,
I have a compal NBLB5 with I3 and ati 5650 on-board (1gb ramm). I used to be a Linux user but since i purchased this laptop i am stuck in windows becouse the bios does not have a "turn off intel video" switch, becouse ati just made switchable graphics work under linux and they are extremely buggy. So if that little option inside bios to turn off intel would just ...be there, all my problems would be solved. The original bios F06 can be found here http://service1.marasst.com/, althou i am using F10 with can be found here http://www.lamsystems.com/drivers/notebook/nblb5.asp. None of them have what i need. I also adressed marasst company but i got a reply telling me that nblb3/5 is an eol product and they do not support or offer support for linux os's (other words...bummer u're screwed...we don't rlly care that u gave us money).
Sorry my bios version is an F09 beta, after i contacted them they did provide me with a link to a ftp site where i can get an updated bios (has exact the same functions as F06). I have not tried the one at lamsystems, i don't even know if it is compatible with my notebook.
