Greetings BIOS Gods!
OK I know this machine is getting on a bit, but there is life in the old girl yet and until now, she has never let me down. Problem is her WiFi is dead and the replacement card I bought has obviously insulted Mr Hewletts sister and/or Mr Packard's mother at some point in the past, and its name is not on the list, so its not getting in.
HP Pavilion DV1000 Series Model 1139EA
Most up to date BIOS 3080 Version F23a in SP32588 http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp32501-33000/sp32588.exe
Original WLAN card is Intel Pro 2200BG
Device ID is PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_4220&SUBSYS_12F6103C
I can hot swap the new card (TP Link 300MBPS - works perfectly) if the device ID is needed for that, but I would rather see the entire white list removed if that is possible. After several days of searching I did find a reference to the exact BIOS needed in the white list mega thread, but the file has been removed from the link.
All help gratefully recieved.
