BIOS flashing nub - P8p67 pro
#1
I flashed it to 2103 due to problems i was having getting it to boot with 2 sticks of ram in and that it was constantly saying overclock failed - even though it was all at stock and the "turbo" feature turned off.
Now it doesn't boot up just dies after about 4 seconds of blackscreen. I've popped the CMOS battery and then when i start the comp up says i have to go into setup to choose bios settings. if i exit without saving, it boots into windows if i flash it again to 2103 just says restart and back to black screen again. also tried to windows flash to 2103 and 1704 and when it restarts just takes me back to setup again, save and exit... black screen mode. and i can't revert back to 1704 in bios as it says it's and older version Windows lets me flash it to 1704 but when it restarts says in BIOS still on 2103 (all off usb stick)

HELP! this is driving me nuts....don't have original mobo CD with me as have moved, if that would help? rang up asus support to find out mobo support is email only and didn't fancy a 12 year exchange. Is there anyway to revert to an old BIOS?

Intel Core i7-2600K 3.40GHz
2x4gb ripjawsx f3-12800CL8D 1.5v
6950 flashed to 6970
Coolmaster 850W

I know this isn't to do with modding BIOS in anyway but have been searching net for ages, Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot!

1- redownload the bios and flash it with AFUDOS
2- 1 stick of ram or try other memory
3- relax timing cl 9

maybe you did overclocked it a bit to much...
try manually upping vcore

just a thought but your memory don't seems to be supported

by the way if it's XMP i think it's one dimm per Channel

it is listed in the manual - the mobo is b3 revision. Although i believe one of the sticks to be faulty as it won't boot with it at all. Problem is i have to rest the CMOS everytime i want it to even post. When i save any changes it just goes back to black screen and i have to reset CMOS again! The ram was working under 1704. does afudos allow me to flash earlier versions? something EZ flash won't let me do Confused

edit: also have rum memtest for about 10 mins on the working stick with no errors confused :z

Thanks

Thanks

rollback the bios
alternatively borrow a stick of ram from a friend
sorry for "not helping"

I have a P7H55-M PRO
I actually changed 3 times the bios with afudos/winflash rolled back and forth to see wich one was/is the most stable...
the logical choice is to go back to the bios that was working
Remenber don't fix something that is not broken
My wife keeps telling me that once a week...

So did you RMA the faulty stick
Did you tried Disable/enable Xtreme memory profile and One stick per Channel (DIMM slot A1 and A2)

MeM OK feature Unplug from the wall to stop the test sequence

TPU feature _> turbo mode

You are right the RAM are supported on the QV_list
