P6X58D-E Marvell Update
#1
Hi, I want to update my MB with new Marvell BIOS. Tried it manualy, but after restart, MB bios rolls back to integrated ATA firmware, in other words, to old ATA firmware.
Here is my M.B. BIOS:
.rom   P6X58D-E-ASUS-0701-MOD1.ROM (Size: 2 MB / Downloads: 18)
Can someone integrate new marvell firmware. Here is it
.zip   marvell_91xx_bios_2.2.0.1125.zip (Size: 441.55 KB / Downloads: 55)

+1 from me - I've found an old thread here: http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-marvell-bios
If Dansolo can do his magic again will be more than grateful.
Thanks in advance

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had managed to merge the new Marvell 2.2.0.1125 Bios into the Asus P6X58D-E 0701 ROM yet. My SATA-III speeds are very unstabe and hoping this will sort it out.

Many thanks

Try This one:
ASUS SLIC 2.1 Added
Marvell 91xx OROM Updated from 1.0.0.1019 to 1.0.0.1029
Intel RAID OROM Updated from 8.0.0.1038 to 8.5.0.1030

ASUS_P6X58D-E_0701_Marvell1029_IR8.5_ASUS_SLIC_2.1_SSV3.rar
http://www.sendspace.com/file/7d3l56

PS
The Newest OROM is Version 1.0.0.1029 as far as I know.
Firmware v2.2.0.1125 is the Firmware for Flashing an Separate Marvell Controller chip.

Thanks for the quick reply. Do you know if this ROM is newer than "p6x58d-e-asus-0701-imr11.0-mrv1029e6e7.zip.rom" in the thread at

http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/Thread-marvell-bios

Cheers

Is the Intel bios newer? From what ive read the Intel controller is faster than the Marvell despite it being only SATA-II.

^ Scroll up and READ.
The changes I made are listed.

Yes I seen that. I just wanted to confirm the 11.0 in the other Bios was in fact newer than the one above which states 8.5

Yes, Version 11 is Newer than V8.5.
And Yes, in most cases the Intel RAID results are slightly better than the Marvell RAID Results.
