[REQUEST] HP Pavilion dm4-2000 & dm4-2100 series BIOS Unlock

Hi guys, I have the HP Pavilion dm4-2191us laptop that comes with an INSYDEH20 BIOS Menu. The problem is that it does not enable AHCI, which is a problem since I want to create a hackintosh for my computer.

I've read other forums on how other people have successfully done this on their computer, but seeing as how BIOS menus are very particular to the hardware I was wondering could offer me some advice as to how I could enable AHCI mode on my computer?

Here's my system information. I've updated the BIOS to the latest version.

Seems lot of people around has a DM4-2xxx with Insyde 3.5 rev F9-14

SP55454.exe from HP,

I ve 2060sf, some other 2080US, 2195US.... we definitively have the same bios file and the same Problem f*****g locked menus, and hidden options, i do think in business models the menus should be unlocked, and the difference may be in options check so, there should be a part of the serial number of the laptop to allow the bios flasher to determine if we can or cannot have the hidden menus.

So if i am not just a stupid lamer, i do think we have to start searching in that way.

After playing with andy tool and EzH2O, the only way to open something in EzH2O, is 1st, get the original 01651.fd file from hp service pack,

then : open it with andy's tool, unpack the bios, get the decrypted file and rsa signature appart, then open it with EzH2O, (just rename the 01651.fd.dec->01651.fd ) and there comes the Drama, no f*****g structure. just some modules with un-understandable names and offers from EzH2O to replace some modules by others.

Totally Useless.

I do think it mess with time, there should be a smarter way to get over it, by installing a business version of the bios with HP pre Unlocked menus, Just need to find the right way to get over the cheks.

I am continuing to search in that way now.

but for some reason it didn't work on 2060sf.

and you can see further , i had to use andy's tool to get my bios back to work.

Actually nothing Works except bios recovery.

Lately i ve used Universal Bios Backup tool and some .py scripts and have obtained some interresting results:

I think i'will have to play a bit with andy's tool to repack this thing.

Hi Camiloml, i've just flashed the f14 version you proposed and i don't see any sort of difference in this bios. Actually in boot options i would like to use the efi web browser avalaible for business series of hp, and on some other laptops like asus ones.

The second step i would like to reach is the options for acpi/ahci mode, and compatibility mode for this laptop, to be able to install xp.

An other option that should look cool : boot from sdhc card i owe a 16GB class 10 sdhc and if i could use Windows XP on it or Ubuntu that would be great.

The latest one, is an option to be able to choose first if it will be the intel VGA or the amd.

I do think you just have removed the wifi/bluetooth whitelist. Thank you very much for that job.
