Hi,

I tried to flash R0104J4_SLIC.wph with WinPhlash64, but keep on getting the following error:

Looking for interface descriptors and code...
cbSearch= 4096 (0x00001000)
Failed: no signature found in the file

Error code : -103(0xFFFFFF99)
Description:
Platform Signature not found in the interface.
Error code: -103

Any idea how to solve this problem? I have a Sony VAIO VGN-C2Z/B and my current BIOS version is R0104J4 (unmodded). I tried several 32-bit versions of WinPhlash, but they can't load PhlashNT.sys in the first place (Windows 7 64-bit).

Thanks.

Okay, I used UBCD4Win to run WinPhlash32 and it worked. Thanks for the mod, can now use AHCI with my new SSD. Smile

Hi there,
I came here because I recently "revived" my Sony C2Z/B by adding an SSD and installing Windows 8.1 pro 64 bit on it. It works great, but I'm looking for a way to install 4Gb of RAM instead of the claimed maximum of 2Gb. It seems that this 945PM chipset supports up to 4Gb but Sony sets the limit to 2Gb for some reason. Would it be possible maybe with a modded BIOS to expand the memory to 4GB?
Thanks for your thoughts...
Happy newyear!
