The only useful option that I could see that may be hidden is Virtualization Technology.

I say "May" because I'm essentially working blind on this one , cant view the setup table to see what options you current have / don't have.

Please could you post some pictures of your current bios options? and let us know if you already have the Virtualization Technology option

Thanks!

Update:

I was able to edit my BiOS and insert the new NIC into the whitelist. So no worries about adding the NIC. (Let me add of all directions I found searching various forums, ALL are vague/missing steps on this procedure.)

My question still stands about upgrading the HDD to a SSD.

Thanks,

Greetings,

I have an HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop with the Phoenix BIOS version F.39 installed. I've tried various key-combos to try and access an advanced tab in the BIOS menu but nothing has worked, I'm not even sure if one exists so I'm putting forward an unlock request.

More specifically, I'd like to change to ACHI mode, lower my CPUs clock speed and voltage, enable a 'fastboot' mode (if applicable, I have this setting in a DELL laptop and a custom desktop both from 2015 so I'm curious), lower the boot time to under five seconds, and (this is a stretch)edit my fan settings, but the more settings unlocked the better.

I'm a tinkerer at heart but I just don't have the comfort of doing this sort of thing myself, nor do I have the hardware.

I've already upgraded this BIOS to F.39 in a Windows 10 environment with the downloadable exe I found through this very forum so I can confirm this works with the dv2000 laptop and that I'm comfortable with the process. If I could do the flash in a similar format to this then that would be most excellent but I can always follow specific instructions if they are provided.

This is a pretty old series of laptops, almost a decade old if I recall, so if none of this is doable then I understand.

I can provide extra information and details on request.

Thanks.

Greetings,

Just thought I'd quote you since it looks like my thread got moved as you can probably see above.

Did you find anything? Here are some pictures of what we're working with.

This final image comes inbetween pressing escape to access the bios, and actually entering the bios.
