I added the old bios back I only took it off because some were saying they had a problem with sound but that bios supports newer CPU's

Is it possible to fix a bios supporting Phenom series and with PCI IRQ problem fixed? Big Grin For the sound you need to install new drivers but if you have a PCI sound card it will problably not work.

we have to update the CPU AGESA code

Okey Is it hard to update CPU AGESA code? Are you guys going to try to fix it or should I just buy a wirless wifi usb instead for waiting to I can use my PCI wifi card.
Thanks for still making this board better! Smile

Update from kev711, Award moderator, who has provided a working instruction set and BIOS tested on V 2.2

THIS IS IT WORKING BIOS FOR Nettle3 MCP61PM-HM v2.1 and 2.2

OTHER WORKING BIOS:
GeForce6100PM-M2 (V7.0/V7.1) http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product...20&LanID=9

PC Chips A15G Series

Added:
AMD Phenom™ II processor (Socket AM3) / AMD Phenom™ processor (Socket AM2+) /AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core/ Athlon™ 64 / Sempron processor
Support 95W Phenom™ II X6 processors
4 x Serial ATA 3.0Gb/s devices
RAID0, RAID1, RAID0+1, RAID5 configuration

Overclock with Ntune System Tools to find more settings http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_syst..._6.10.html

Also hit Ctrl + F1 in bios for more unhidden BIOS features

TESTED CPU's

AMD AM2+ Phenom x4 9150e 1.8GHz 65w
AMD AM3 Athlon II 245 2.9GHz 65w -OVERCLOCKED with Nvidia System Tools to 3.4GHz
AMD AM3 Phenom II x4 3.4GHz C3 125w BLACK EDITION Passed Prime95

CAUTION: IF using a (CPU) Processor higher than 95w you will need to UPGRADE to an AFTERMARKET Heatsink. The one that came stock with the HP/COMPAQ computer is not good enough for a high wattage processor

To clarify the instructions on Linux Using Ubuntu Live CD (11.04) (RECOMMENDED FLASH PROCEDURE)

Have files on flash drive...

open terminal
sudo apt-get install subversion
Ubuntu software center (search libpci)
install Linux PCI Utilities (Development files)

Now do (in terminal):
svn co svn://coreboot.org/flashrom/trunk flashrom
cd flashrom
make
sudo make install

navigate to flash drive in terminal: (mine was located at /media/745B-FD7D):
cd /media/{your dir}

backup old bios
sudo flashrom -r bios.bak (will store in curent directory)

now sudo flashrom -f -w BIOS.ROM (or whatever you named it)

run command again if it doesn't take the first time. Then you are done

Hi, I'm new to this forum but have followed this thread carefully from start to end... It seems to be a lot of issues raised around, specially the problem with the PCI irq-table error and sound missing +++, and I wonder if these problems was solved finally or still pending testing. (are there any testing still going on!?) Looks like this HP MCP61PM-HM (Nettle3) mobo-thread have calmed down due to old tech and not that [censored] to spend time and effort on... but there have been some new posts lately in this thread and I therefore just want to see if any of you magic guys still are around!? Smile

My question is;
- anybody out there who made this mod BIOS work properly on the HP MCP61PM-HM (Nettle3), and if so - what exactly mod BIOS file do you end up with to use? I believe the latest posting by TheWiz (or was it kev711 ?) at present page 1 with the file name < M801W_10.BIN > is the latest - and perhaps working one!?

- anybody tried a six core with success? Saw at page 7 DiamondJim was eager to try an AMD Phenom II X6 HDT55TWK6DGR (95W), but was not tried out. I have one AMD Phenom II X6 HDT55TWK6DGR (95W) processor inbound these days, and shoud love to hear if this can work out well! Rolleyes

My mobo is the MCP61PM-HM (Nettle3) v 2.2 rev A3 (with the small font "Made in China" txt printed on the board).

I have noticed the problems with flashing the new BIOS - and intend to use the ubuntu flashing procedure. Any new experiences gained or is it still easy go lucky here?

Update; flashed the new BIOS file M801W.BIN successfully, after disabling default bios password changed fan speed to auto and set temp threshold all worked well, no problems or errors, and after enabling onboard soundcard Win7 find all hardware!

Hi! This HP MCP61PM-HM Nettle3 mobo do not have HDMI onboard, no such output back at the I/O on mine! So I have not really tried hard finding out :-) but I noticed something wich maybe can help you; when I visited the nVidia site http://www.nvidia.co.uk/Download/ScannFo...lang=en-uk (note: use Internet Explorer browser!) to see if there where any updated drivers for the chipset < choose automatic look for drivers> and there is a HDMI driver available/recomended:

product nForce 520LE - HDMI Audio Driver 1.00.0.59
Version: 10.0059 WHQL
Release Date: 1.10.2009

(The autocheck reported my current installed driver to be 15.46)

Maybe worth a try?
