Hi all, I have a HP laptop 6190sl dv7 bios original here:
last bios at:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp55001-55500/sp55068.exe
all the bios for my laptop here:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/previ...46&sw_lang=
the best bios tried is this:
http://www.bios-mods.com/BIOS/Insyde/sp5...miloml.exe
With this version of bios Unlocked (sp54024), i can change some option, without any errors, but unfortunately the functions of the Integrated/Discrete Video Card bios is failure to save
What I wonder is like this:
You can make a new bios choosing a default settings, so do not be forced to change?
I would need to set the video switch card to "Disable" under "Video Configuration / Special Futures / Disable and in "Swichable Graphics Mode/ Fixed", or much more important to have working, the option to disable the integrated video card
I appreciated in the bios 54024 Unlocked the possibility of turning off the ATI video card, but what I want to get is to be able to choose the video card. If this is possible, it would be nice to have an answer, because I also need to replace wifi card id (with a part number easy to buy) on the WhiteList ! This is a project for Mac OSX, and I have many friends interested (which i can force to donate if all goes well)
I hope to receive an answer, even if negative!
sorry for my English
Micky
Edit
I just now discovered that the bios sp54024_NWL_UlkMenus_ByCamiloml.exe, is also without whitelist (NWL ), I think this is the perfect starting point for my request

I extracted a bios' backup from the chip of the bios the sp54024_NWL_UlkMenus_ByCamiloml installed on my Laptop.
To do this I used Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0
In the link below, there is this backup, the program used to do this, HP_TOOLS partition and ACPI dump from RW-Everything.exe.
The bios read from the chip seems to be totally decrypted !

I am totally noob in this and I hope to not say something stupid, but can be useful in some way ...... and I really need an unlocked bios
EDIT
I can not flash this bios again because I get "EC error"

Thanks

Probably it is impossible also for F.1A I'm sorry, when did I say that the backup is not encrypted, just mean that it is not encrypted when is inside the chip! But unfortunately that does not need to be properly flash (Ec error, I think for different file size)! This is because I have the impression that signature checks have to do with CMOS and Insyde Flash Utility (personal opinion and not necessarily true).
I am making a request for certain functions (only of video card) operated fully, than the fact Camiloml'sp55068 there are many less functions that you can use, but it is obvious that due to semi-brick.
I just posted my things, with the hope that Camiloml, even put his hand to this bios, which I think is best for the F1a/F1b series, providing everything you've got to give:
HP_TOOLS partition, my bios'backup uncripted Directly from chips, RW-reports, with the hope of giving more details.
In short, if can not leave the video options, I would do a bios already set (CUSTOM for me), so as not to have to save to CMOS!
I hope I was clear this time, and I apologize for my English
and for this I made a small donation with the hope of at least possible to know whether this

Sorry, I must add that in Windows no problems, everything works (no VT Enabled)! You can also save Swichable Graphics Fixed/Dynamics, as the original bios. Using OSX and Windows from December, never CMOS reset by itself! Success only my first time editing dsdt.aml in OSX, after changing well, since then everything is OK (more than 6 months)!

I can not say with certainty, but my OSX shows a VGA connection, but without framebuffer, under ATI in IORegistryExplorer.
Insyde Setup Manager shows the ability to disable the Swich, and decide which card to work, leaving the bridge......otherwise it would not make sense
Ati card is ready
