Hi, thanks for the reply, the follow-up is really easy.
BUT, neither the original aspire L5100 bios update R02-A1 from Acer's website or the modified one from this thread are good to flash... I always get the following error :
The Program File's Part Number does not match with your system
I've uploaded my R01-A1 dump right here : http://rapidshare.com/files/382575297/awdbios.zip.html made with winflash, and this dump works well in the DOS flash utility.
just in case
Thanks

Hi,
link is already dead,
I'm looking for updating my L5100 bios (SN 92GGL9ZCYP), i'm just upgrading my memory for 2 slots of 2Gb, but Bios only recognize 3.11Gb.
Is there a remapping memory option somewhere?
Acer supports can't guarantee me over than 2Gb.
Does anyone have a solution?
Thanks,

no, sorry,
i've set off my remapping memory option:
bios detects 3.11Gb
win7 quotes 4gb installed but 3gb usable...
but no more crack or lagg
in my case, i can't upgrade to R02-xx, give me an error in formating bios...

Hi,
i come back on this topic,
just to remember:
- i've got the R01-BO bios with SLIC2.1 ( http://www.bios-mods.com/forum/showthrea...e=threaded&tid=1239&pid=4913#pid4913), impossible to upgrade to R02-A1 give me error when flashing.
-i put, on march, 4Go RAM memory, impossible to work Win7 perfectly gives me sound crackling and video lagging when i remap memory, so i'm turning with 3Go RAM
-I've just bought a SSD Drive to complete the last upgrade of this computer, and i can't find the AHCI drive option on bios to unleash my SSD Drive.
Is there a possibility to add this option? or to have a whole complete bios with :
-overclocking,
-virtualization and
-slic 2.1 for win7
-good remapping for 4Go RAM
-AHCI drive option
Thanks,
K.

Hi,
sorry for digging out this old thread, but is it possible to post the modded R02-A1 Bios again, since it is newer than the R01-B0 one.
Thank you very much.
