Hello,
I have an Acer Power M8 PC and want to upgrade the CPU. It's currently got an Athlon 64 X2 3200+. I bought an Athlon 64 X2 5200+ dual core and when I put it in the motherboard bleeps constantly.
I tried updating the BIOS to this one: R01B4Windows but when I run the WinFlash program it says 'Hardware lock - check jumper settings' or something like that. However I can't see any jumpers on the motherboard to change??? The motherboard is a Foxconn MCP61SM2MA-ERS2H (http://www.foxconnchannel.com/ProductDet...uage=en-us).
When I try to use the Foxconn Live Update tool it tells me my motherboard isn't supported.
Please can someone help me the flash the BIOS so that I can use the Athlon 64 X2 5200+ CPU.
Thanks
