Award BIOS for Shuttle SN78SH7
#1
Hi,

I would very much appreciate if someone could unlock the ACPI setting in the following BIOS:

Motherboard make/version:
Shuttle Custom (Barebones)

BIOS version:
SN78S10Y

Manufacturer's download link:
http://image.shuttle.com/ResourceCenter/...e_id=13681

The ACPI setting in the default BIOS is locked on "Enabled".

Thanks a lot for your help!

Tom

Hi Mate

Ive got some excellent news for you.

Quick Reply is one thing!

Secondly , the ACPI option can now be set to disabled or enabled.

Thirdly , you have access to Overclocking! UIncluding CPU FSB control , Voltages and extra Memory overclocking options

There is also Virtualization unlocked!

LINK REMOVED DUE TO REPORTED MOD FAILURE - SORRY!

Enjoy!

Thanks very much for that!

Can't ask for a quicker assistance than that, hey!

I'll have a go at flushing the current BIOS with the modified version now.

Cheers.

After Flashing the Mod-Bios the Shuttle is not working any more. Only Fans turning on. But no HDD-/Power-LED on the Front is working and there is no picture at boottime.

Do i have a chance to recover the Bios?

Thank for Modding and Helping Smile

Sorry that the mod bricked the computer. Modding bioses is a very risky business!!

Please follow the Award Recovery Instructions in the Tutorials section

After buying a new Bioschip it was also possible to hot-flash the old bios-chip. But after 2 more unsuccessful biosflashs with this mod, i thinks this mod do not work properly. i will try the older version (http://www.bios-mods.com/showthread.php?tid=177) now --> RESULT: Also not working. Something to take care of, when flashing your modded bios or is it the same procedure as with the normal bios via awdflash?! Do you test the modded Bios before you upload it? (If not: Please remove the Bios-Version before you cause more damage with this crap!)

Wowa there buddy, take it easy. Seeming as how we don't own every single board that you guys request, we test with what we know. If the mod doesnt corrupt and it looks clean, then its up to you to decide to flash. I will note tolerate you telling me my staff is incompetant, as BIOS MODDING is never GURANTEED as WE DID NOT WRITE THE BIOS. Please wake up, and consider being more curtious on your next post. If you doubt the modding risks, read the disclaimer!

Oh, and maybe read some successful mods to.

Sry for being a little bit rude in my last post. I never call someone incompetent. But i don't find any hint in your forum, that you provide untested mod-bios. I think you can write it down in the post, when you upload untested bios-versions, so everyone knows that fact.

I know that modding is risky and i appreciate your work.
So far, happy modding Wink!
