#1
Asus F6A Notebook
Latest BIOS Version: 209
Download here: http://dlsvr04.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/F6A/f6a209as.zip

Could SLIC 2.1 be added to this one?
Thanks in advance & Best regards,
Schlomo

.209 is the bios file itself and thats the default format it came in , DONT rename it because this could corrupt it !

Hi,
I was going to request this Asus F6a 209 bios mod also but found this one.
Did the requestor verify it did function?
Also, since it was an HP-Slic that means we use an HP cert.xrm-ms and Key?

Thanks Admin, for helping before I attempt a flash.

Yes, HP SLIC hp cert. He never confirmed, but slics are noprmally a safe one as long as you aren't dense while flashing. Keep same filename, flash in dos, etc.

Wiz, one more quick question.
If the Asus F6a, which has SLIC 2.0 in the orig. .209 bios with Vista OEM install, will changing to your HP SLIC 2.1 immediatly DE-ACTIVATE the Vista install or once activated with the 2.0 SLIC it stay activated?
Thanks again,

Vista will stay activated. SLIC 2.1 activates both windows vista and windows 7 , while SLIC 2.0 only activates Vista. You will have to re run the certificate and key commands using HP instead of the default Asus SLIC. You will need HP 2.0 Certificate and any Vista OEM key for the corresponsindg version of vista
