OK, so I've got this spare computer with an Athlon II x2 Regor at 2.9GHz and a Radeon HD4650 video card, and I would like to build a small formfactor mini-ITX box with equivalent or better specs.
I was thinking of going with an AMD A6-5400K APU http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.asp...6819113282 instead of a traditional CPU/GPU combo, since the case I want to use (an old 7.62mm ammo box) doesn't really have the space I need for a "proper" GPU.
I am mainly going to use this box for older LAN games (TF2 being the exception), and for HTPC purposes. Will this APU provide the performance I'm looking for?
Thanks!
EDIT: If you're wondering why I'm going for a 65watt APU instead of one of the higher end ones, it's because I want to use a PicoPSU with it http://www.mini-box.com/picoPSU-160-XT
