Ok got it finally, applying the BIOS now. Thanks for this one guys, have been dying for this in a couple of months

Eh got a problem here, I messed up the IGP settings and I can't boot my laptop anymore, just a black screen, nothing else, any solutions ?

Theres a way to rescue a fucked up bios flash, with a usb stick. Look it up here somewhere, Im on my way to get some saturday takeaway food.
What are IGP settings?

Theres a way to rescue a fucked up bios flash, with a usb stick. Look it up here somewhere, Im on my way to get some saturday takeaway food.
What are IGP settings?
At the Advanced tab, I turned off the IGP completely and can't longer boot the laptop

I`ve altered quite a few settings that I have readup on first and also already know that were safe to alter,so yes no issues the utility is built into the bios`s like from Acer url,to recover a bad flash or messed up settings ,you will need a usb stick/formatted and have the bios image renamed to Q5WV1X64.fd,this worked for me,from a previous flash some months ago..not related to the above files.

Can you tell me the completed process ? Go here...read it through then what I have put at the bottom will make sense.

bios image q5wv1x64.fd would become q5.bin or q5wv.bin from memory I put both on my stick that have misplaced to check,sorry.

Is there any CMOS battery inside the board? I'm thinking to remove it. Guess it won't work though ?

Doesn't the official bios recovery method work for you? Far easier than digging for a battery deep inside there man
