Thanks for your work on all of this guys
I installed the 1601 S06 bios and have had some trouble installing windows in AHCI mode using the RST drivers from a Memory Stick
I can use them and installs ok - detects the drive but when I boot into windows for the first time after the install i get a BSOD just after the starting windows logo
I have installed in achi mode and using the native MS ahci drivers it works fine and I get the kind of performance I expect but is i install the RST drivers (v11.6.0.1030 linked in the original post) when I reboot into windows I get the same error
also - currently just using the ative drivers i get an unknown device in device manager that I have worked out is the SSD (shows as being attached on the ICH 10R LPC Interface Controller Sa16)
any ideas what i could be doing wrong?

Hi great bios modders. I am also very new to modded BIOS roms but I'm hoping this config will help me resolve my issue. I'm trying to install Windows 8 Enterprise on my Raid 0 config (2 OCZ Vertex 3's), but every time I attempt to load the drivers on the setup screen, I receive an error and the computer reboots. I've flashed my bios with this rom already. Exactly which driver should I be using?

New kid on the block here.
Gratz for your awesome work so far ZioGTS!
Any ideas why i cannot update with the latest JMIcron driver 1.17.65.11 from station-drivers ?
I flashed to the latest 1601_S06 and all drivers are updated.
I had the same issue and solved by uninstalling the previous driver before installing 1.17.65.11.

I'm sorry you're experiencing these issues, they are clearly related to Intel RST drivers. I never had any issue, but I can suggest trying the latest Intel RST ( download from here).

I have the file, but I'm unaware of how to install this. There's no setup file. Am I installing this from a dos prompt, to "push" it as if I were working in ADB, or do I just path it out to one of these files during Windows 8 initial install? I'm super noob'd at this. Please bear with me.

Thanks a lot ZioGTS for your BIOS mod. It's working fine. I flashed without troubles. Does your bios support drive 3 TB as a boot disk ? Have you tried such a large drive as boot disk ? Best regards

Oh, you've got the StationDriver version, without installer... Download the driver directly from Jmicron FTP site and enjoy!

Never tried that. I'm booting from an SSD. No clues on that one, sorry.

Thanks for your help but I still can't get Windows 8 to see my raid volume. I've switched from IDE to RAID to ACHI, and I load the JMicron driver at the install screen but my volume still does not show. I'm about to say !@#$ it and just stay with Windows 7.

There really is no reason to switch to W8. Games even perform worse than they do in W7.

Decided the issue by flashing the SSD drive, the firmware on the official site.
