[REQUEST] Acer Aspire V3-571(G) BIOS Unlock
#71
Hey guys. I am new to this forum. But I've been here before. I have some questions..
So let's say, that I succesfully installed a modded BIOS for my model, and everything worked well, and the bios is there. But what if I want to install the original BIOS from the support website, (I have BIOS Rev 1.13 for Acer Aspire V3-571G. Before, I had the original BIOS 1.07 for my laptop) Can I flash the original BIOS and replace the modded one? And will everything work as it should? Reply when you can and thanks.

And one more thing. Is it worth flashing a modded BIOS and replace the current one I have to unlock options in the BIOS that WILL work?
And some other things, IS that ''Advanced tab'' an option in Acer InsydeH20 BIOS and is it locked in the original Acer bios's? And what features/options is interesting, what do they do? Sorry for all these questions but I'm curious (hehe Smile). Once again, thanks. And I am SORRY if I'm posting this in the wrong section, asking a stupid question.

Waiting for answers
Smile

OH and btw, here are my laptop's specifications:

Acer Aspire V3-571G
Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 64-bit Edition
Intel Core i7-3610QM Proccesor 2.3 GHZ - 3.3 GHZ.
15.6'' 1366x768 display
8 GB DDR3 Memory
NVIDIA Geforce GT 640M 2 GB DDR3
1000 GB HDD

Hi Volks...

it is possible tu unlock the locked Secure-Boot Settings?

Need to disable the Secure Boot Settings, to boot some other OS else Windows8.
It would be so great, if anyone can patch teh BIOS:

Hi Florin9doi,

thanks for the hint. But i've already read this thread. I tryed to downgrade the BIOS to the modded one, but i am not able to do this.
The Acer flasher blockes downgrading, also the insyde bios recover-procedure (FN+ESC) gives no result Sad
So, i hoped a professional here can help me and mod the 2.13 Binary .... is this possible??

(01-20-2013, 01:56 PM)samspin Wrote: EDIT: Also, I have figured out how to turn off Secure Boot in these Acers. You first need to set a BIOS password (supervisor password), reboot, and THEN it will stop greying out the secure boot options. You can even remove the BIOS password afterwards and secure boot will stay disabled, though it won't let you edit the field unless you set a password again. This isn't listed in any instructions anywhere on Acer's site nor the instruction booklet, so I hope it helps. At least that way you can install Linux or whatever and still use native UEFI booting, rather than set it to "legacy BIOS boot". That way you could dual-boot Windows 8 and Linux a lot easier!

well I have a full dump of my v 2.04 .bin file... if some guru can mod and pack it or at least flash using fptw64

I'm interested in full unlock but I can't update to 2.13 and dump that version because I also need the vmod to override 640m gpu overclocking limit

Hey there,

Could anyone unlock the advanced tab in this laptop's bios, so I can mess around with overclocking and disabling thermal throttling?

Download: http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...er&SC=PA_6

Version: 2.07

Thanks so much! Big Grin
