Acer Aspire T650/E500/F5 R02-A3 Acer 2.1 SLIC

hi everyone.

i have an acer ami bios, tried using the ami tool version 1.47. but it always gives me "AMIBIOS string not found". does it mean that the bios is un-mod-able? is there any manual way to do it?

but should anyone manage to mod this bios at all, any slic is fine with me as long as its version 2.1 (for windows 7)

Sorry but although this appears to be an AMI Bios, its been modified by Acer so my tools cannot open it up for SLIC modding

They must have taken out the Bios header ID's. I have no idea how to put them back!

i spent hours yesterday, trying to do a manual mod. hours because i don't have any experience at all, and only now i realized the award and ami mod tools are so godsend!

anyway, just to report that my manual mod was a success. tried flashing, and tested activation. so far all looks positive. here's the modded bios file with the cert included:
