HP MS-7548 Aspen
#1
Hello, was wondering my Bios can be modded so i can change voltage to Dimms, and do some other overclocking:

Hp Aspen/MS-7548
Bios Version 5.13
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software10/...p43099.exe

Thanks

No Overclocking Or voltage Options hidden in this bios. There were some hidden options but they were nothing special - not worth the risk of flashing the bios to get !

Sorry

Thanks anyway. I thought perhaps Voltage options could be added, i didn't realize they had to be hidden and then unlocked. Thanks again.

Hi,

Would these nothing special hidden options on the Award 5.13 (Aspen) have anything to do with ACPI settings?

The reason I ask is because I'm having a problem with Windows 7 returning from S3 sleep. The Desktop Window Manager crashes after return and can't be restarted without either a reboot or forcing an S4 Hibernate cycle after which the DWM can be restarted.

This DWM issue is well documented all over the web with different Mobo's, bios's, vendors, and none of the vendors really seem to care. That isn't quite right because I did find one instance where a smaller PC maker actually seemed to fix the issue with a bios update.

thanks,
Robin
