Hi there,
After doing some research i found this forum and it looks like you guys are the best, so here i am asking this..
My system:
HP Pavilion dv6-6b51ea
BIOS F.1C REV A
Win 7 Ultimate 64x
WLAN Intel Centrino N-1030 (w/ bluetooth)
My question: Someone on another forum said that in the very latest BIOS updates, HP has removed the block for installing other WLAN adaptors, i would like to ask if that is correct or not, since i was planning to install an adaptor that supports 5 ghz networks as well, such as Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 for example (listed in the service manual currently, part #631956-001), or the Intel 6300 (although i think i don't have 3 antennas)..
anyway, if you could answer that it would be great, i browsed the Service Manual and it's there but then again, some people reported issues with part numbers so i wouldn't like to order something that doesn't work.
Many thanks for your time
Gab
