[REQUEST] Lenovo Thinkpad Twist S230u (GDETxxWW) Whitelist Removal
#1
Hello, I really hard trying the last few Days, removing the Whitelist from my Bios

Manufactor: Lenovo
Modell: S230U "Twist"
UEFI Bios Rev. 1.56 (GDET96WW)Link to Update Tool gduj10us.exe

RW Everything Report: http://ul.to/dst1vi63

A Intel 2300 is in it and i would to replace it to a Intel Ultimate 6300 abgn.

The Twist is Hardware Based on the Edge Family. I Can´t Say if the Bios is RSA Signed or PHoenix SCT.

I Finally Have a Modded Bios here. AndysPhoenixtool 2.14 says SUCCESS to me.
But i don´t really think that i made it on the right way.
I used Module Method, and didn´t ticked or unticked anything.

I lookin only on time in my Bios since i have the Twist, so there should be no Problem with the "Half Bricked if i go in there" Problem.

Anyway I would be really Thankfull, if someone could take a look with his trained eyes on my Bios. I would Donate 10 € for your help.
Greetings from Germany

If it seems Impossible to do this Work, a little Feedback where a great Thing to me.

I don´t find anything Crawling the Web for Weeks now.
In one Thread in Digital Life Forum a Member makes the Experience that the Bios File was RSA Signed. (Seams related to the Modelnumber it´s a Russian Model)

On the other side... Much People say the Edge Series are Hardware based the same. If i search the web to the Keywords "Edge Whitelist removal" i got few Results that makes me Hope to find a Solution. Rolleyes

I still would be grateful vor any Kind of Feedback Blush

Oh Thanks for your Feedback, really.

That is the way i got the rom file last week too. Big Grin

Success. Bios.rom

And what´s the Favorite way to do this?

I Choose andysptool to extract the Bios and allow user to change files.
Then i applied the phnxpatch and finished andysptool with a success message.
i don´t ticked no slic Undecided My Modded Bios
and adding a win 8 2.1 Slic Table
But im Scary that i made a mistake maybe?

Is that the... or am i on the right way?

Please, upload bios backup to mediafire (box, sendspace ...)

OK, First i was flashing the Original Bios back. Cause my modded Bios reach no Result.
(only 5 beeps /pause /4 beeps/ then starting up Windows)

Outgoing from a Stock Status now, i´ve tried flashing your bios from dos prompt
(USB STICK) first flash.bat, then flash2.bat

Both Flash.bat´s ending with this screen:

For shure any Security Features in UEFI are set to disabled. the last two times i flashed from Win8 too.
