Hello everyone!
i am really glad i found this Forum! I have been using a, probabbly for the most,
outdated laptop, an Asus A9RP. I have a clean slim install of XP32 on it and it´s
working just fine...exempt: when i´m playing high resolution videos: lag!
After a verry needed upgrade to 2gig RAM & a dualcore CPU i am satisfied
with the overall performance, BUT i still get lag when watching HD videos...
After a while of research, i found out that the ATI Radeon XPress 200M
GPU Chip does handle 256MB shared RAM on other systems, but i can
not adjust the shared RAM in my BIOS, and it is set to 128MB...
I would love to be able to set it to 256MB or even 512MB if possible.
Any extra unlocked features would also be gratefully acepted!!!
So... could someone help me with this? Or give me a hint what tools to use?
Data:
BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. - Rev.230 07/17/07
ROM type: SST 39VF040
SM BIOS: V 2.4
I attached the update file i have flashed to the BIOS as this was
the last Update i got for it. I used Winflash V2.18 to flash.
A9RpAS.zip (Size: 395.92 KB / Downloads: 6)
Thanks in advance & greets from Berlin, cheers, RetroUser
