Hi guys, thanks for this custom bios, how ever , after flashing it , I could not find the option of overclocking the cpu freqency , only the mulitplier was there . can someone enlighten me on this issue ? The only gripe I have against this FX6800 PC is its inability to overclock, If this is no longer an issue, I would be a very happy campter . TIA ! ! ! !

Yeah, the options for the multiplier and C-STATE tech is available, along with manually setting the RAM clock speed. No CPU overclocking available. I'm still quite impressed with the work done though!

Isn't the multiplier CPU overclocking?

ok, I see thanks. multiplier is lock at 20x for our CPU - i7 920, we can under clock it by going lower but not higher. is there any bios that can unlock the BCLK and push it beyond 133 ?
Hey sherl0k, I set my ram to run at its original speed 1333, but it still shows 1066 , any ideas ?

TheWiz: The i7-920 has a stock multiplier of 20, which is what the value is set at by default. This value can be decreased, but not increased. To get a performance gain, the clock speed also needs to be adjusted.

albergao: The speed of the RAM in the FX6800 is 1066, not 1333. I didn't try overclocking the RAM.

Update:

I flashed the BIOS with the unlocked AM7700 BIOS, posted here and here since the motherboard is exactly the same, the only difference is the splash screen. Unfortunately I don't get any more options than before, just the multiplier, turbo boost, and c-state tech.

I'm led to believe that the BIOS itself just doesn't support overclocking of any sorts at all.
