[Request] Sony Vaio VPCF115FM
#1
I would absolutely love it if someone would be so kind and unlock the bios for my laptop. I have tried to dig into it myself and tried to figure it out but something is going wrong in the whole process and I'm not sure what is messing up. I almost think sony purposely obfuscated the .rom files, but I can't tell if it is that or just me.

This is the file location for the BIOS update package.

Thank you very much, and I will be sure to send a nice donation for the effort of whoever manages to do this for me.

Hi, I figured I'd bump this with hopes that someone may be able to give me a little bit of a hand figuring this out. Thank you.

I am willing to paypal a handsome amount to someone who can help me with this. When I say "a handsome amount" I certainly don't mean chump change. If you send me a working opened bios file then I will pay top dollar. If you just lend me a hand and help me figure it out so I get to my end goal then I will still pay well.

You can extract your bios with "Universal BIOS Backup ToolKit 2.0" and unhide menu items with "AMIBCP 4.53"

I am also trying to "unlock" all BIOS settings on the VPCF115FM. After some extensive research on all this and exhausting all outlets, I figured I'd give the forum a shot.

I've come to the conclusion that this BIOS has Flash Descriptor Security enabled. I'm stumped on how to override it. I found the datasheet and some other info if anybody has any ideas on how to unlock this BIOS.

This is straight from the Datasheet:

[HDA_DOCK_EN#/GPI033]
Low (0) – Flash Descriptor Security will be overridden. Also, when
this signals is sampled on the rising edge of PWROK then it will also
disable Intel ME and its features.
High (1) – Security measure defined in the Flash Descriptor will be
enabled

Datasheet Link

Motherboard: Sony Vaio VPC-F Series, M931 (IRX-5300) MBX-215
Chipset: Intel 5 Series PM55
OEM: Foxconn
