Hi,
I'd like to change the Wi-Fi of my HP Slate 2 to add 5 Ghz functionality.
Unfortunately, I don't see the Wi-Fi card installed on my HP Slate after installation.
Because of this, I need to whitelist the BIOS.
I have tried modifying the BIOS with several tutorials.
With the application Ezh20 I get the error "Program can't find fv information in FD file."
With the application "Universal BIOS Backup Toolkit 2.0", the program is stuck at 24%.
Can anyone help me or give me a link with more information? I've been searching for 2 days, and tried all ways that are possible.
Notebook model: HP Slate 2
Product Number: LG725EA#ABH
System board ID: 1782
BIOS Vendor: Insyde
Current WIFI: SD\VID_0271&PID_0301 (Atheros AR6003)
New WIFI: Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230
Bios revision: F.03 (8 Jan 2013) (newest)
File name: sp60384.exe
Bios Download Link: http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/Tec...sp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=5169094&prodSeriesId=5160457&prodNameId=5160459&swEnvOID=4053&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-114368-1
Is anyone available to help? A small donation is possible for your work.
Thank you.
