[REQUEST] Lenovo Thinkpad T420s (8CETxxWW) Whitelist Removal
#31
Hi Sovem,

I have the same T420s bios as uncledave, and i would like to install Ericsson WWAN card F3307.

The bios link again is http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...uj18us.exe

If the upload https://app.box.com/s/n6caxsghk3wlewk7d1kk will work for me, pls try re-uploading it as box.com say the user is out of bandwidth.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Sovem,

I followed the readme to update but the original bios states thats i'm already running the latest bios. then i tried the moded bios by running flash.bat (as an administrator) but it only just briefly shows a CMD windows and disappears. What do i do to be able to flash the moded bios successfully. I am running win7 ultimate 64bit.

Thanks.

Thanks Sovem, I got it to work by simple double clicking on it. i think it's because i'm running windows 7 ultimate 64bit. It ran successfully and completed the flashing process during restart.
My laptop now boots up with the card and no beeps. For I'm trying to find drivers for my Ericsson F3307.

Thanks a million.

registered to say THANKS!

you returned control of MY thinkpad back to ME, instead of lenovo.

the 802.11ac card that I had sitting here can now be used, finally. no bios lock anymore (lol). installed latest intel drivers for win7/64 and the card saw my AP and connected just fine.

many thanks, again. repped Wink

I can flash modded BIOS successfully, but there are 5 beeps x2 at startup. Disbaling security chip in BIOS solved it. Can you create a modded BIOS without beeps?
