[solved] How to add AHCI mod to ASUS "P5K SE" bios not EPU ?

Hi,

I also have the Asus P5K SE and I'm trying to install an sdd hard drive. My problem is slightly different when I boot up the PC it doesn't detect the hard drive although it does show up in the boot priority menu. If I upgrade the Bios so that I can enable AHCI is this likely to fix the problem?

i require advaced options inclding AHCI in my BIOS settings

Please can you tell me which programs did you used to flash the mod bios to activate AHCI on your P5k-SE ? Did you used EZ Flasher ?

I never flashed a mod bios so im confused, im searching since hours a tutorial to do it for the Asus P5k-SE but i can't find it

You have a choice what you more understand and to do it. Read P5K SE user’s manual section 4.1 Managing and updating your BIOS again for more understanding. I will be try calling ASUS EZ Flash 2 from Tools menu in BIOS SETUP UTILITY (USB flash disk with FAT32 format) .
