Shuttle X27D FM27S202 Bios

I tried this BIOS out - how do I get the overclocking options?

There is an option to run the FSB at 667MHz instead of 533MHz. When I try it, the system locks up hard and I have remove the power cord and battery to reset it.

It isn't my RAM - I tried both 533MHz and 800MHz RAM in it.

I would really love to run this thing at 2MHz instead of 1.6MHz!

Hi Mate

The Option you want is under Frequency/Voltage Control and is called CPU Clock Ratio

Also , under CPU feature , you wil find voltage options etc

Anything under Advanced Chipset is to do with overclocking your RAM

Your ram musnt support the speeds you set it too , thats why the system locks

Hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestions. Under the CPU Feature menu, I only have:

Delay Prior to Thermal
Limit CPUID to Manual
C1E Function
Execute Disable Bit

Is there something else I have to do to get more options here like a hidden keystroke or something?

I also ordered some 667MHz memory to try to see if I can get it to run the FSB faster. (I suspect it just checks for 667 or 533, but nothing higher) If I can get the FSB to 667MHz, this would put the CPU at 2.0GHz, right?

Thanks again for your help!

The 667 or 533 is the speed that your MEMORY runs at

It doesnt affect the FSB of your Processor!!

Theres nothing else to unlock imafraid, no hidden keystrokes Sad

Sorry

Like StewieGriffin, I am unable to locate the CPU Feature ---> Frequency/Voltage Control -----> CPU Clock Ratio. Under CPU feature, my options are:

Delay Prior to Thermal
Limit CPUID to Manual
C1E Function
Execute Disable Bit.

In addition, my system also locks-up when I set the memory frequency to 667 with DDR2-667 memory installed. It will not boot. The bios that I used was Shuttle_X27D_FM27S202_with_OC.bin. What am I missing?
