Hi friend,
I can do it for You, but I want to advice that I don't know what will happens as I don't tried by myself to upgrade to UEFI and I haven't this laptop and I read You have to reinstall your OS Win 8 or Win7 and if it's leaked Marker sllic 2.1 You have to introduce or WindSLIC into.

I will looking for more infos and reply here, but if You want to do I will post the modified files.
With regards.
thank you very much ,have a nice day
Ok I have spoken with a friend of mine and he said that when a model is sold without Windows 8, then it is delivered with 1.x bios which lacks UEFI booting and Secure Boot support.
If the same model is sold with Windows 8, then its is delivered with 2.x bios with the option of UEFI booting and Secure Boot.
So it's possible to upgrade, but it has to modify Flasher to unlock protectionguard.
DisableSecureCapsuleFlash=1 to 0 ! Now I'll do and post the modded files, but I found this help too to get RAID Mode anabled on bios 1.08 vers :
Here's the explanation on how it works:
According to this site ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/acer/674...-m5-4.html) "The 20GB SSD has a 4GB hibernation partition (which will have to be changed if RAM is upgraded) and a 14.64 GB partition used for caching via installed ExpressCache software from Diskeeper.".
So, if you increase the RAM (to 6GB, it's the maximum), you WILL have to increase the IRST partition and reduce in turn the expresscache one.
Enable ISRT (Intel Smart Response Technology). -> NOT TESTED, FOLLOW IT AT YOUR OWN RISK
If you follow this path you won't be able to use IRST unless you upgrade your SSD (even then, I am not quite sure on how both technologies would interact).
You have to upgrade your BIOS to an unlocked one, so that you turn on the option "RAID Mode" on the BIOS and in turn get the accelerate option on the software.
To do so you have to get EZH20 (look on google for it), so that you can modify your BIOS image.
•Download Acer's 1.08 BIOS version and unpack it with winrar/7zip. http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...ER&SC=PA_7
•Open EZH20 and open in turn the file *.fd.
•Replace the Setup Utility module (FE3542FE-C1D3-4EF8-657C-8048606FF670) with the one from https://dl.dropbox.com/u/8773661/SetupUt...18c9e0.bin.
•Save the file
•Move the file to the same folder as where InsydeFlash is and FLASH.
•Restart, hopefully everything will be fine.
•If you DON'T want to reinstall Windows follow this guide on how to change HDD driver mode ht*tp://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?s=58600f8b17ba9da23c5d930db957e7f6&p=16564878&postcount=5.
•Change your mode on the BIOS.
•Run/Reinstall Intel Rapid Storage Technology and hopefully you'll have the accelerate tab.
•From here on just follow Intel's instructions on how to enable it.
Please note that all the merit goes to the posts' original autors, I have simply made a quick guide on how to proceed. Use this information at your own risk, playing with BIOS or software without knowing it's inner workings may be cathastrophic. You're warned.
I didn't find infos about RAID mode on ver. 2.17, but I think there is or it's possible to inject into.
This is the Bios v.2.17 modded file to flash eeprom at UEFI :
http://rg.to/file/377b2b1d5c3f0c3e984986...7.rar.html
Now I will look the 1.08 modify to unlock option, from first look it seems nooped a block-code instructions, but the module is original from 1.08 Acer M3 581TG

OK under are the 2 bios Acer links.
1 is Acer Aspire M3-581T
2 is Acer Aspire M3-581TG
http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...ep3=ASPIRE M3-581T&OS=ALL&LC=it&BC=ACER&SC=EMEA_17
http://global-download.acer.com/GDFiles/...ep3=ASPIRE M3-581TG&OS=ALL&LC=it&BC=ACER&SC=EMEA_17
They are getting the same bios v.217 I checked by Hex Workshop are identical, so the two models have same bios.
The link I posted over fpr the InsydeFlash utility modded here :
http://rapidgator.net/file/377b2b1d5c3f0...7.rar.html
You can flash from Windows and from Dos (have to prepare a USB Boot stick) Let me know.
When You will going to flash your bios You will loose the actual 1.13 EFI bios and You'll get new 2.17 UEFI.
UEFI has possibilies to get EFI legacy boot too, but You have to do many setting.
You're warned.

I apologize for delay, but I didn' read message.
There is an error or any message ? Have You tried form DOS on USB card ?
Let me know better as there will it be others changes to do in the files.
To overcome all of the checks, we need to edit more:
DisableCompare=0
to
DisableCompare=1
&
SkipSecureBootProtectionCheck=0
to
SkipSecureBootProtectionCheck=1
That's it.

@ Tolsi
I checked the modded 1.08 module and I found it.
Setup Utility module (FE3542FE-C1D3-4EF8-657C-8048606FF670) = SetupUtility_0x18c9e0.bin Bios 1.08
has the same mod (noped for code block same lenght 2Dh same position 8C1h) than your version 1.13.
I think it's your version from 1.08, whole sub_routine nooped (deleted) instead modify jmp opcode.
I don't know who was writing about RAID mode in the post I found, but used your modded 1.08 bios.

(11-09-2013, 07:00 AM)Tolsi Wrote: ps you can also use recovery mode, that's so easy. But you need to have backup of original bios, so this is dangerous!
You can read easy instruction in russian.. Or:
1) put the file MA50X64.fd (you can rename any .rom BIOS file) to the root of a USB drive with FAT32;
2) Turn off the laptop;
2.5) insert usb flash drive with bios to laptop
3) press Fn + Esc and turn on the laptop;
4) Do not let go of the buttons once 5 seconds, the usb flash indicator flashes, the screen will not light up, the process is on... It is better not to touch anything. After 3-5 minutes the laptop itself will reboot with the new bios.

I checked the modded 1.08 module and I found it.

I think it's your version from 1.08, whole sub_routine nooped (deleted) instead modify jmp opcode.
I don't know who was writing about RAID mode in the post I found, but used your modded 1.08 bios.
With regards
i'm really not asm pro, i used the works of the Jakob Heinemann for patch this bios.

And yes, i made the 1.08 mod the same way too, it's link to my dropbox, but it's SetupUtility from the 1.13 (!!!) version, i don't think what use it with 1.08 is the good idea. My 1.08 patched bios with this setuputil is there. I did not have raid option with any of these versions.
I can't understand, why do you need UEFI booting and Secure Boot for win8? I had win8 with the 1.* bios and it worked perfectly. Now i have linux mint on my 20gb ssd and i'm happy
ps Merry Christmas, guys!

Ok I understand problem is "secureboot", and I think it's possible bypass all checks, but I am afraid You loose configuration (UUID and other), so You have to backup your bios before and extract your data by AIDA to get all yours information.
I attach a rar file with all programs in :

I THINK
DISABLE COMPARE MUT BE CHANGED 0 TO1
DISABLESECURECAPSULEFALSH MUST BE CHANGED FRON 1TO 0
SKIPSECUREBOOTPROTECTION MUST BE CHANGED FROM0 TO 1
AND VERSION CHECK MUST BE DISABLED IS ONLY MY OPINION I AM NOT PROGRAMMER THANK YOU
