Crap,
Got the following message when executing flash:
PDR region does not exist
GBE Region does not exist
Error 28: Protected Range Registers are currently set by BIOS, preventing flash access.
Please contact the target system BIOS vendor for an option to disable Protected Range Registers.
Is there something I could have missed in the BIOS settings, or any other obvious user fault?

OK, try backup bios after flash modified and upload, please.

Erm, does this mean the flash should have worked?
For the record, I created a fat32 bootable usbstick, loaded dos files
command.com, io.sys and msdos.sys onto it.
Meanwhile, two screenshots and a backup of the current BIOS ROM can be found here:

Thanks in advance for your time and effort!

Hi guys,
I own a Lenovo S540 with a RTL8723be wifi card and wish to upgrade to the intel 7260ac and ofcourse Lenovo doesn't allow this card.
Please help me remove the whitelist for the WIFI cards.
- Bios Type : Phoenix
- Current Bios version is 1.58 GPET58WW)
- BIOS Link: http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/...uj09ww.exe(1.58 GPET58WW)
- PCI/ID of the current rtl8723be card: 0xB72310EC (its the vendor ID I got using the Read Write utility)
I don't know if i need to provide additional info about the system.
Thank you in advance.
